Are You a Beer Connoisseur?

Improve your knowledge of New Hampshire beer history on Thursday, May 19th at 7:00PM with author/historian Glenn Knoblock as he presents Brewing in New Hampshire.

Explore the fascinating history of New Hampshire's beer and ale brewing industry from Colonial days, when it was home- and tavern-based, to today's modern breweries and brew pubs.

Hear about the state's earliest brewers, including the renowned Frank Jones, and the only brewery owned and operated by a woman before the modern era.

View unusual and rare photographs, illustrations and advertisements documenting the changing industry and the changing attitudes toward beer and alcohol consumption.

Both beer connoisseurs and "tea-totalers" are sure to enjoy this lecture.

This program is free and open to the public, and is made possible through a grant from New Hampshire Humanities!
