Get Creative with the Arctic Wonderland Art Contest
The Young Readers' Room is having an Arctic Wonderland Art Contest July 15th -18th. Those involved in this summer's reading club, Books are Tundra Fun, are being challenged to create an arctic diorama. What's a diorama? It's a miniature scene shown in three dimensions--in this a shoe box turned on its side. Complete details are available at the library or in the summer reading activity guide. If you're not in the summer reading club, that's no problem--you may sign-up until the very last day.
All entries are due by 6:00 p.m. on Friday, July 18th. Dioramas will be judged on creativity, originality, and neatness. Winners will be selected in three age groups: 3-5 years, 6-8 years, and 9-11 years.
So get your imaginations in gear and create something wonderful!
