sports equipmentJust ask Joe Super Fan, and he'll tell you there's a lot going on at the library this summer for 'Tweens and Teens in grades 6 and up. Get Your Game On--Read 4 the Sport of It! offers boredom busters for 7 weeks in the form of reading, crafts, contests, book discussion, and other activities.

Reading for 100-250 minutes per week in the 1st Inning Book Clubs will get you up to 3 points each week. The 2nd Inning Weekly Trivia and Picture ID contests, 3rd Inning Volunteering, and 7th Inning Stretch Activities, all earn 1 point for each activity. Earn 2 points in any given week (with 1 coming from reading), and take home a prize!

Record your points in the provided Playbook from July 1st - August 15th, add them up, and join the 9th Inning All Star Pizza Party and Raffle. Raffle tickets are awarded for every 2 points earned. 'Tweens and Teens earning at least 10 points (with 5 coming from reading) get a movie pass to O'Neill Theaters in Londonderry!

And if that's not enough, you won't want to miss the special performance by Peter Boie, the Magician for Non-Believers, in which you'll both see and learn magic.
Sign-up in the Teen Room at the library, and pick up your Read 4 the Sport of It Activity Guide and Calendar. Oh, and while you're at it, bring a friend!
