You're Invited to the Grand Re-Opening of the Children's Room!
That's right, the Library Trustees and Staff are holding a Grand Re-Opening Celebration on Wednesday, February 20th. The open house will run from 3:30 until 7:00 in the Florence C. Center Young Readers' Room on the lower level of the library. To help us celebrate this momentous occasion, Mr. Phil will attend from 3:30-4:00, twisting balloon creations for children; Amelia Bedelia will make an appearance from 4:30-5:00, telling her story and gabbing with children;and Steve Blunt will meet children from 6:00-6:30, and sing a song or two. Every child will receive a new book to take home and enjoy, and light refreshments will be served. I don't think I have to tell you what a thrill it is for us to have the Children's Room open again, but I will anyway--We are thrilled! Please bring your children in to check out their new digs--a beautiful, bright space that's all their own. And let's not forget that this re-opening is not just a joyous occasion for the Children's Department. The Adult Services Department won’t have to share their space anymore! They can spread out and breathe again. Be sure to take a look upstairs, starting February 19th, and get acquainted with the new arrangement of materials.
Don't forget: The library will be closed February 7th - 16th while we make this magic transformation, so come in and get your books before then!
