Get 'Em While They're Hot!
That's right, the 2007 Litchfield Town Reports are in, and they are dying to jump off the shelf and go home with you! In this one slim volume you can find out not only how many children were born last year, but how many people were arrested on noise complaints, what the projected school enrollment is for 2008, what the Conservation Commission was up to, plus much, much more. The Town could charge as much as $19.95 for this must-read, but they are giving them to you for FREE. Make sure you pick one up here at the library or over at Town Hall, while supplies last!Labels: town information

2006 Director's Report for the Town Report

Another year has come to an end, and I have been called upon to write a summary for the Litchfield Town Report:
Aaron Cutler Memorial Library’s 2006 Director’s Report
At the time of this report, the Florence C. Center Young Readers’ Room, on the lower level of the library, has been closed for three and a half years due to water intrusion. We were thrilled when the warrant article to reconstruct this room, as well as correct miscellaneous surface flow problems, passed in March. This is the second of a two-part plan to get the room reopened. The first part was completed in August when J.G.E. installed a new gravity drainage system, and storm basin, to alleviate our ground water woes. The results of this project have been monitored since completion, and part two, the reconstruction, is now being re-bid. (read more...)

Children’s Librarian Carrie-Anne Pace and Adult Services Librarian Ann McKillop were thrown to the wolves, with training promised in September. [ read more... ]
