Tax Forms Have Begun to Arrive

It's that time of the year when tax forms from the IRS begin to arrive.  So far we have received forms and instruction books for 1040, 1040A, and 1040EZ.

Publication 17 "Tax Guide for Individuals 2016" is available for use in the library. This publication covers the general rules for filing a federal income tax return. It supplements the information contained in your tax form instructions. It explains the tax law to make sure you pay only the tax you owe and no more.

You can find all IRS forms, publications, and instructions on their website at IRS.gov/forms. These items may be viewed, downloaded to your computer or device, or printed.
Forms and publications for screen readers and Braille output are also available.

Forms can also be ordered and delivered by mail.  Go to IRS.gov/orderforms to place an order online, or call 1-800-829-3676.  For TTY/TDD accessibility, call 1-800-829-4059.
