Downloadable Magazine Subscriptions Expiring
If you enjoy our downloadable magazine service through OverDrive, you need to be aware that OverDrive must separate ways with provider Barnes & Noble.
What this means for you: Many, many tiles are expiring next week and will no longer be available for download. (See list below) The remainder will expire in March.
What this means moving forward: OverDrive is hard at work putting together a similar service with another provider.
To fill the gap, you can access many titles through MasterFILE Premier in your browser. Admittedly, it's not as pretty or as easy to use, but more titles are available.
Here's how:
1. Click on this link: MasterFILE Premier
2. Click on "Publications" in blue bar at top of page.
3. Enter the title of a magazine in the search box and click "Browse."
4. Only magazine titles with "PDF Full Text" or "HTML Full Text" listed in the results can be read. Click on the title in the search results.
5. Click on an issue to the right of the general information about the title.
6. Choose an article from the list and click on the "Full Text" link beneath the article title.
If it gets too confusing, we will be happy to help you get you started.
