Aaron Cutler Memorial Library

Each September the library celebrates Library Card Sign-Up Month by teaming up with Griffin Memorial School in an attempt to get public library cards into the hands of all 1st graders.

To make things a little more fun, the 1st grade teachers battle it out against each other to see whose class will have the most card holders.  This year's contest resulted in a tie.  Mrs. Beach's class and Mrs. Doucette's class both achieved 100% participation.  Not only was this our first tie, but GMS reached an all-time high with 90% of 1st grade students holding public library cards. Hats off to the great efforts of Miss Carrie-Anne, our children's librarian, Mrs. Beach, Mrs. Doucette, Mrs. Webster and Mrs. Quimby! 

In addition to the joy of having a library card, the winning classes receive a special Story Time with Miss Carrie-Anne along with a couple of goodies.
