Ruth Rendell Passes Away
British author Ruth Rendell, also know by pen name Barbara Vine, passed away Saturday at the age of 85. Know for her Inspector Wexford mystery series, as well as darker stand-alone novels of psychological suspense, Rendell is considered one of the trailblazers of crime fiction.
If you're not familiar with her work, NoveList Plus suggests beginning with Kissing the Gunner's Daughter (Wexford mystery series), and A Sight for Sore Eyes (psychological suspense).
Rendell's novels are available for loan at the library, through Interlibrary Loan, and on the NH Downloadable Books site.
