(Not So) Elementary, My Dear Watson: The Popularity of Sherlock Holmes

Join New Hampshire Humanities Council presenter Ann McClellan on Thursday, November 20th at 7:00PM for (Not So) Elementary, My Dear Watson: The Popularity of Sherlock Holmes.

With movies, television shows, and literary adaptations, Sherlock Holmes is now a multi-million dollar industry.  Why is Sherlock Holmes so popular?

Discover the origins of Arthur Conan Doyle's famous detective and track his incarnations in literature, film, advertising, and modern media in order to crack the case of the most popular detective.

Presented by Ann McClellan, a dedicated Anglophile with a PhD in English Literature.

This event, made possible through a grant from the NH Humanities Council, is free and open to the public.
