About the Book
Leo never imagined that time travel might really be possible, or that the objects in H. G. Wells’ science fiction novels might actually exist. But then a miniature time machine appears in Leo’s bedroom, and he recognizes one of the tiny riders: himself! Join Us for "That Reminds Me of a Story"
“The great thing about collecting stories," says Rule,"is they’re free and you don’t have to dust them. Stories not only speak to us of history, they hold our identity.”
Her work in Berlin collecting stories of the mills, logging, and the Androscoggin Valley reinforced her idea that New England stories need to be preserved and shared.
In this program she’ll tell some of her favorite stories about this rocky old state (especially the funny ones) and invite audience members to tell some of their own.
Rule's books will be available for sale and signature following the presentation.
This event, made possible by a grant from the NH Humanities Council, is free and open to the public.
About Rebecca Rule
Rebecca tells and gathers stories in New England, especially New Hampshire. Her books include The Best Revenge: Short Stories; Could Have Been Worse: True Stories, Embellishments, and Outright Lies; and a new book Live Free and Eat Pie: A Storyteller's Guide to New Hampshire. She hosts the New Hampshire Authors Series on NH Public Television.
