The Fells Historic Estate and Gardens Pass Now Available!

The library now has passes to the Fells Historic Estate and Gardens in Newbury.  Read below for all the details.

Description:
"Discover beautiful varied gardens with spring and through fall blooms. Explore meadows, woodlands and shoreline with easy hikes on peaceful paths. Tour the 22-room Colonial Revival house with engaging history and art exhibits. Try their ValleyQuest and geocaches, children's Nature Explorer backpacks, and Fairy Village creation.  Enjoy classes and events for all ages and many interests.  See website for details."

The pass admits up to 2 adults and accompanying children under age 18 free to the Fells Main House and grounds.  This pass is not valid for programs or events for which a fee applies.

Additional tickets can be purchased at $10 per adult, $8 per senior or student, and $4 per child age  6-17.

Hours:
Grounds and trails are open daily year-round for easy hikes and leisurely strolls.

Guided tours of the Main House are offered from 
10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. on weekends and holidays from May 25-June16
10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. from Wednesday - Sunday and holidays from June 19 - September 1
10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. on weekends and holidays from September 2 - October 14

Guided tours of the gardens are offered at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday - Sunday from June 19 - mid-August

Directions:
From Concord and points south and east Take I-89 north to Exit 9 (Route 103) and go west to Newbury. Then take 103A north 2.2 miles. The Fells is on your left.

From Lebanon, Hanover and points north Follow I-89 south to Exit 12 (Route 11/New London–do not use Exit 12A), turn right at end of ramp and immediately left onto Route 103A south. Follow 103A for 5.6 miles. The Fells is on your right.
