1. Drink Water
2. Eat Real Food
3. Eat Right for Your Metabolic Type
4. Move Your Body
5. Get Enough Rest
Melissa fleshed each point out, giving participants good ideas to take home and try.

Book Bunch Reads The Fast and the Furriest for February 15th
The Fast and the Furriest, by Andy Behrens, has been selected as February's Book Bunch read. Kids age 9-11 can stop in and pick up a copy at the Circulation Desk in the Young Readers' Room, then join Miss Carrie-Anne and the gang on Wednesday, February 15th at 4:00 for discussion and fun!
From the Publisher
Meet Kevin Pugh, 12-year-old couch potato. Now meet Cromwell, his part beagle, part potato chip dog. Kevin’s looking forward to spending his summer doing as little as possible. Unfortunately, Kevin’s father, former Chicago Bears star player/super-sports fanatic, Howie Pugh, feels differently. So does Cromwell, who has suddenly and mysteriously developed a fascination with agility competitions: running up seesaws, leaping over hurdles, soaring through hoops (sometimes). If he has to do anything, Kevin would rather do something for newly obsessed Cromwell, but dog agility lessons do not constitute a sport in his father’s mind, so football camp it is. Until some well-timed events collide, literally, and soon Kevin’s found a way for he and Cromwell to take classes, and the upstart Team Cromwell is born.
Andy Behrens has written a hilarious novel with a dry-as-dirt protagonist who’s constantly tortured by the goings-on around him. It’s also a charming story about a boy and his dog, as well as a meaningful and heartfelt look at a relationship between a boy and his father who don’t always see eye-to-eye.

All Booked Up Reads Rainwater for February
Pick up a copy of Sandra Brown's Rainwater at the Upstairs Circulation Desk, then join the group on Wednesday, February 1st at 6:30 p.m. for a lively discussion.
From the Publisher
Ella Barron is determined that even the ravages of the Dust Bowl will not affect the well-ordered life she has built for herself and her special child, Solly, who lives in a world of his own that even she can’t enter. Aware that he evokes pity and distrust, Ella holds herself aloof from her small community, but her new boarder, David Rainwater, comes into her life—and changes it forever. As economic desperation creates bitter social unrest in the town and surrounding farms, Ella finds herself relying on Mr. Rainwater’s soft-spoken advice and the steely resolve of his convictions. But tensions escalate in the summer heat, until one violent night everything they believe in will be put to the ultimate test.
Sandra Brown’s Rainwater is a poignant, lyrical novel that will speak straight to your heart, a story that bears witness to a powerful truth: love is worth whatever price one must pay for it.
