Just Wondering on Wednesday...
We've all been there. Someone asks you if you read such-and-such a book, and before you can say, "Yes, and it was awful," the other person's telling what a great book it was. But have you ever found yourself the minority dissent in a group of people? If so, what book did you hate that everyone else liked?

Feeling Lost? Try a Literature Map.
Take a trip through the land of literature. Enter the name of one of your favorite authors, and a cloud of other authors will form around your entry.
For example, when I enter the name Jack Higgins, a cloud of other names begins to swirl around my entry. These are the names of authors other Jack Higgins fans read.
The closer a name is to your original entry, the more likely you'll enjoy their work. It's a great way to try an author you haven't read before. So choose an author and give them a whirl.

OverDrive to Offer Expanded iPod Compatibility
OverDrive recently began offering audiobook titles through the New Hampshire Downloadable Audiobooks program in the MP3 format, which is compatible with Apple's iPod. Now a press release concerning the mid-June upgrade to OverDrive Media Console 3.2 reports that most of the existing WMA titles will become iPod compatible for Windows users:
Once OverDrive Media Console version 3.2 is installed, most titles in a library’s OverDrive WMA Audiobook collection will instantly become iPod-compatible for users with Windows PCs. The growing collection of iPod-compatible, Mac®-friendly OverDrive MP3 Audiobooks will still be available to help libraries better serve patrons with Apple computers.
What a great way to celebrate national Audiobook Month. I can't wait for the upgrade!
