Afternoon Book Group Forming

book coverThere is a new afternoon book group forming for adults! The group will meet on the 4th Thursday of the month at 1:00 p.m. The first meeting is scheduled for May 25th. This group will read lite literature that doesn't take a ton of time to read or a ton of brain cells to absorb. It's perfect for the harried housewife or househusband, those who feel literarily challenged, folks who work the late shift, retirees, etc. If you have a favorite book or author you'd like to share with the group, bring it along. Then take home Buster Midnight's Cafe by Sandra Dallas to read for June 22nd.

From Publisher's Weekly -- Narrator Effa Commander's rollicking reminiscences about movie star Marion Street and her devoted lover, champion boxer Buster Midnight, are recounted in a sharp and snappy voice that captures the reader's interest on the very first page of this amusing novel. read more...
